About Me
My name is Gabriel, but you can call me Gabe, for short. I am from the humble city of Norwalk in California. I'm an American of Filipino descent (and certainly proud of my culture,) as both of my parents were born in the Philippines. I am an alumnus, and the Class of 2017 Valedictorian of St. Paul of the Cross (SPOC), a Catholic school in La Mirada, CA. Although, I am already a graduate of SPOC, I am still very much a part of our SPOC community (a family of faith). I continue to serve our community by altar serving, by being a choir member, and by helping out my parents when they do Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW). Despite my busy schedule, I also help the community through volunteer work by being a Norwalk TAP (Teen Alliance Program) member. I love doing many things, and even though they may be tiring at times, I enjoy every single moment of it.
I am an active teenager who is into music (keyboard and string instruments) and sports (basketball and taekwondo). I have many friends, and four of my best friends and I formed a group, which we named The 5D (Five Dimensions). |
My Family!!!
Dad
Legal Process Server My Dad is the one who helps me a lot with math, social studies, and helps me practice basketball. He was the one who got me into basketball and math, and I am very grateful for that. He was an attorney and professor in the Philippines, which fascinated me. |
Tita/Aunt
Medical Biller My Tita/Aunt helps out the family very much. She has been with us even before I was born, helping my mom when she came to the US. She has been a really great help to our family, and I wouldn't be here today without her help. |
Mom
Human Resource Benefits Rep. My Mom is my first teacher. She's my guides me and teaches me not only academically, but even with important things in life. She is basically my counselor. She was also the one who trained me during decathlon, and wouldn't have gotten 4th in Literature if it weren't for her. |
My doggo!
Burberry
This is my dog, Burberry. She is a pomchi (pomeranian/chihuahua). She has been with my family ever since the second grade. She is crazy one in the family, and she can be a hurricane. My friend John and I gave her the nickname "Spiderdog" because she climbed her gate, jumped of the wall, and landed on the ground running. |

My Friends
These are my best friends: Nick, John, Joel, and Matthew. A little history about us, this awesome group we made "The 5D", has been established June of 2016. I've known Joel ever since 1st grade, when we both went to St. Linus. We then met Matthew when we moved to St. Paul of the Cross, and then Nick and John came from St. Bruno and St. Gregory the Great to join us in 5th grade. We all became good friends, and then the group came into existence.

Role Models
St. John Paul II
He is one of my role models because of his actions. I did a report on him in 5th grade, and I was fascinated of what he did. He told people to forgive one another. He showed the world that it's possible to forgive. Someone tried to assassinate him, but he survived. Instead of cursing or condemning the person who tried to kill him, he forgave him. He, by far, is one of the best popes the Catholic Church has ever had. Favorite Quote:“The way Jesus shows you is not easy. Rather, it is like a path winding up a mountain. Do not lose heart! The steeper the road, the faster it rises towards ever wider horizons.”

John Felix Anthony Cena (aka John Cena)
He is one of my role models because of his kindness. Being a wrestler, he doesn't seem like the type of person to be kind. But, in the company, WWE, he is a babyface, which in professional wrestling, means that he is the good guy, and is meant to be cheered on. He loves doing charity works, and helps out a lot with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, founded the Cena Scholarship, and granted more than 500 wishes to kids around the world. Favorite Quote:"NEVER GIVE UP!!!"

Sports
My favorite sport is basketball, and there is no competition against that. I've been playing basketball since I was 5, and I have always been interested in it. I've also been a Lakers fan all my life, and being able to play the sport which my favorite athlete (Kobe Bryant) played is something I enjoy. Right now, I currently am not playing a sport (as I am still yet to get my physical), but am planning to join the PMA basketball team. I am hoping to continue to play the sport I love. I also want to do new sports to me, too, such as Cross Country and Track.
